Lake Union + Lower Woodland

It was good to get out today.  My back has been bothering me off and on for a couple of weeks.  I think my hamstrings are tight and they are pulling on my lower back.  I took yesterday and refrained from wearing shoes with heels.  That helped.  I’m going to get a massage Tueday, hopefully.  I know that will help!

Treadmill Run With Tasha

Tasha and I went to the gym after school.  Our goal is to go twice a week together.  The running is supplementing her volleyball.  I have to run anyway, so its good to have some mother/daughter time together.  We usually go to Starbucks afterwards.  :)

16 Miles-We are Boston Bound!

Cathy Beth, Steve and I did our 16 miler.  Cathy Beth is training for her first marathon, which will be Boston.  She is raising funds and I am going to run with her as her coach.  I ran Boston back in 2008 and Steve ran in 2009.  He is also running this year.  We couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day to run.  I hope we get a day like today in April.  Good run everyone!

Run With Tasha

I’m going to start running with my daughter twice a week.  We are doing a simple treadmill run.  We start at an easy pace and jog for 2 minutes, then increase the speed for 1 minute, then increase the speed for 1 minute, then increase the speed for 1 more minute.  Back to base and repeat until you’ve run 3 miles.

Indian Trail Walk

I walked the Indian Trail Walk with Susan.  I thought it was going to be a trail.  It’s really more of a route around Clyde Hill, Medina and Hunts Point.  It was a beautiful day and I’m glad we went.  I was just hoping for a little more trail.

Tough, Hilly Run….

The weather was great.  I knew I had to get out there and take advantage even though my back has been really bothering me for about 4 days.  I got through the run and had a nice turkey sandwhich and some gatorade.  I went to my office, answered some emails and headed out to the plateau to check out a property.  On a lark I placed a call to Joanne to see if she had any openings for massage.  Lucky me!  I’m got a 2:30 appointment.  :)
