Time Off
I am supposed to be relaxing, but I keep waking up at 5 am. What good is a vacation from work if I’m still getting up? My daughter is happy because I’m making her a hot breakfast every day. Murphy and I will take a walk again today. He has his 7th lesson with Stacey at the grocery store. This time another dog will be there for extra distraction. Good luck Murphy!
Although I got a late start, I’ve been a serious runner since 1994. I ran my first marathon in 1995 on my 30th Birthday. It’s been my goal to run the Boston Marathon since then. I missed qualifying by 12 minutes that year. I needed to run 3:40 and ran 3:52. Running in the most prestigious marathon, is the ultimate for most runners. The fact that you have to qualify, only fueled my competitive juices.
Over the next 9 years I ran 6 more marathons. I love running so much that I became a

Whoever said sleeping in was “relaxing” anyway?
I feel, and this is the technical term for it, icky when I sleep in. I’d much rather wake up early and enjoy the sunrise and then sneak in a short nap later in the day! It’s your week off, do what your body wants!
Whatever you do, enjoy it!
I’ve been catching up with work, doing a lot of writing, laundry, etc. It’s actually been quite nice.

i wanted to say thanks for the welcome note and congrats on finishing the boston marathon just qualifying and finishing is a feat in and of itself i will be watching to see what your next adventure is
