Lake Union Loop
I met Andrea for a run this morning. We ran from Green Lake down to Lake Union, did the loop and came back up Stone Way. I felt pretty good. The hill was tough on the way back, but easier than the last time I did it. I finished up with some walking and went for coffee. Good work out. I think I am ready for the 20 mile race next week.

Although I got a late start, I’ve been a serious runner since 1994. I ran my first marathon in 1995 on my 30th Birthday. It’s been my goal to run the Boston Marathon since then. I missed qualifying by 12 minutes that year. I needed to run 3:40 and ran 3:52. Running in the most prestigious marathon, is the ultimate for most runners. Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comment, Lisa. I read about your Boston Marathon plans and wish you well also! My spinning class instructor is going to the Boston for the first time. She is sooo excited as well! Have fun and best wishes to you!

Nice run, next week should be fun. We have all had a good series and the 20 miler is not so scary anymore.
Nice to see you this morning. We’re closing in on Boston…how exciting!
My brother in law is going up with me. He went up with my sister two years ago and knows what’s going on. He should help me relax. My wife and kids are staying home…too much running around for 3 kids. My predication right now is 2:34-2:35 if I stay healthy and motivated over the next 5 weeks. I might bump my longest run up to this weekend since I’ll have more time to get it in. Good luck on the final push for Boston…can’t believe it is only 5 weeks away.
I have picked one to compete in. It’s Memorial Day weekend and I’ve alreay started to train for it. Now that it’s getting closer I’m getting nervous for it. That’s awesome about the Boston Marathon and good luck with training and the race, only about a month away!!!
