19 Miles!
Thanks goes out to Andrea and Michelle for an awesome run. Girls, we are keeping each other honest. We ran from my house down to the Burke-Gilman, out to Woodinville and back up the hills of Brier. The hills on the way back hit around miles 14-17, which is perfect for Boston Marathon training. I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. My glutes and hamstrings are shot. I am happy to be done.

Although I got a late start, I’ve been a serious runner since 1994. I ran my first marathon in 1995 on my 30th Birthday. It’s been my goal to run the Boston Marathon since then. I missed qualifying by 12 minutes that year. I needed to run 3:40 and ran 3:52. Running in the most prestigious marathon, is the ultimate for most runners. The fact that you have to qualify, only fueled my competitive juices.
Over the next 9 years I ran 6 more marathons. I love running so much that I became a

Nice run. Looks like you’ll be ready to hammer Boston. I can’t believe that is only 49 days away. That is only 3-4 long runs away.
Hi Lisa! Yes, I was a gymnast in Highschool. I only started when I was a freshman, so I didn’t get very far, but I loved it! I joined the sweat365 community because I’d like to become a runner, although I am horrible at it now. Any advise you might have for a beginner like me would be greatly appreciated!
