Tired Of The Treadmill

I was planning on running by the lake today in Kirkland. I changed my mind when the rain and wind started up. I met Michelle and we co-miserated on the treadmill.

I was still tired from my 15 miles on Sunday. I warmed up for about 2 miles and brought my pace up to 8 min/per mile for the last 3.5. I didn’t feel like going any faster or longer. My left ankle is a little tender. I’m not sure why.

Workout:

  • Type: Run
  • Date: 02/05/2008
  • Time: 11:00:00
  • Total Time: 00:47:00.00
  • Calories: 450
  • Distance: 5.5 miles
  • Average Pace: 8:32.82/mile

Lisa- thank you for checking in! I think the physical therapy has done the job. I could feel a difference during my ortho follow-up appointment, and I obviously have more muscle in my thighs and hips than I had before. No more ‘clickety-clack’ as I bend my leg. Here and there I wonder if I feel soreness, but I think it’s been caused by the leg press and not running… so I am going to cut out the leg press for a while. I am starting back slowly with running, just moving up to 2.5 mile runs outside. Bit by bit, I’ll get there!

I also despise the treadmill. Looks like your training is going well, and thank you for all the informative articles lately!
