10 Miles On The 10th
I’m trying to hold onto my fitness during the month of December. I plan to do a couple of 10 milers. I’ll go long every other weekend. January 1st is the time to get serious about training. I’ll start ramping up my mileage for the Boston Marathon!
I ran from the studio up to 148th and over into Redmond. I had to add a little more distance to get an even 10 miles. It was bitter cold, but no snow. The course has some hills and it’s all concrete. I felt a little beat up.
I had scheduled a massage with Jaimie. I am so glad I did. I took a quick shower and met her. Great massage! I feel good!

Although I got a late start, I’ve been a serious runner since 1994. I ran my first marathon in 1995 on my 30th Birthday. It’s been my goal to run the Boston Marathon since then. I missed qualifying by 12 minutes that year. I needed to run 3:40 and ran 3:52. Running in the most prestigious marathon, is the ultimate for most runners. The fact that you have to qualify, only fueled my competitive juices.
