Las Vegas Half Marathon!

The Las Vegas Half Marathon was my comeback race.  Last year I developed plantar fasciitis that persisted for almost a year.  It started back in August of 2006.  I should have taken time off running, but I was too stubborn.  I planned to run one more half marathon.  Running that last half marathon put me over the edge.

I got new orthodics.  I cut back on running, tried massage and yoga.  I even got a cortisone shot.  I went to physical therapy and took 2 months off running.  Finally my plantar fasciitis subsided.

The timing of the Las Vegas Half Marathon was perfect.  I began training and coaching the group in September.  I got back into running shape along with everyone else in the group.  I’m glad to be back.

Now I am ready to take my training up to marathon level.  My next race is the Boston Marathon!
