Lake Washington Loop

I haven’t been on my bike since the Kirkland Triathlon last summer. I was a little worried that I’d be really sore going from zero to 50 miles. I actually feel pretty good today. It was good to get out there with Mitch, Shelley and Phil and go for an easy ride. We stopped at Starbucks and enjoyed the day.

Neighborhood Run

Hike To Monument

We hiked up to Monument, near Lake McMurray on Sunday. It was close to 90 degrees. We took Murphy, our golden retriever and Oz, Mark’s german shepard with us. This was also our 14 year daughter’s first hike. Everyone had a great time. The best part was jumping into Lake McMurray afterwards. Even Murphy jumped in, which was good because he rolled around in the mud on the hike.

1st Lucy Run

I’m delighted to be coaching a new group of runners for Lucysportswear. We had our first day of training on Saturday. We ran/walked 1.5 miles around the Bellevue Park. The runners are from all walks of life, moms, teachers, sales people, a police officer, women in business, even some of my daughter’s volleyball team members.
The ages range from 14 to 60. We are all women trying to improve our fitness. It’s great to start early, but it’s never too late to start getting in shape. We are training for the Irongirl 5K/10K which is September 7th, in Seattle. Our program is 12 weeks long. It’s free! Runners who participate receive discounts on clothing from Lucy. Trail Run In Mukilteo

I hit the trails today with Michelle. It was pretty hot out there and my throat was dry. She took me on a run through the hills and trails of Mukilteo. It wasn’t easy, but it was good to get out with a friend.

Train With Lisa And Lucy For Irongirl 5K/10K Seattle

Team up with me and Lucy Sportswear to run/walk the Irongirl 5K/10K in Seattle on September 7th, 2008. Training sessions begin Saturday, June 28th. Runners meet at Lucy in Bellevue Square at 10 am. The program lasts 12 weeks. Now is your chance to train with a great group of women for a fun race. This is a great program for beginners. We start slow and build endurance to go the distance!
